It has been an honor serving as Mayor of Salinas and I continue to have faith that our City will accurately represent the hard-working character of its residents – people who came here to raise their families in peace and believe that tomorrow will always be better than today. I ran in 2006 on a platform of imagining a Great City. Since then we've been doing the hard work of building that city, in the face of heavy challenges. Now I believe we can see the work beginning to pay off. We have faced difficult times over the last few years, and there continue to be tough times ahead, but I want to assure Salinas of one thing: we are working to bring security, safety and prosperity back to Salinas. -Dennis Donohue
